How much does a wedding photographer cost in northern ireland?

This massively differs on coverage, what you ideally want, and also other factors. I’ll be truthful, photographers start on a price thats the lowest coverage first. So, lets say a wee 8 hour day (bridal prep to speeches) this normally would be from £1000 – £1500. This is if youre searching for a pro photographer. FYI, I won’t cover what you could get for a starter-upper, thats not my forte. Full day coverage? (bridal prep to first dance or after) You’d be chatting £1500 – £2000. Trust me, dont skimp out on a good wedding photographer. It’s not just for the day, its for afterwards.

what is the average price for a wedding photographer in ireland?

I can’t speak for all legends over the boarder but if you want to grab a good one, prepare to pay from €2,000 – €4,000. Many of wedding photographers give you a great deal with added extras on-top of the full day coverage so you get the best value for your money. Choose wisely.

How many photos should a photographer give after a wedding?

This differs on the time, type of collection and other factors. If you fall in love with a wedding photographers style and want them for your special day, ask them how many photos you will recieve. Many of us are different. Mines, I like to give between 500 – 1000 photos. Its just how I’ve always worked and my couples love the storytelling through-out their wedding day.

Do wedding photographers take pictures of guests?

Some do, some dont have time. Your day is totally yours. If your priority is photographs of your guests then communicate it during the meeting stage with your photographer. I tend to do a table dash if our time is limited due to our timeline. Timelines can easily get messed up through-out a wedding day and then other plans need to be made if this happens.

A table dash is to ask your wedding co-ordinator before the speeches to get the tables up and ready for a photograph with the bride and groom, they whack on a tune and its rock ‘n’ roll time, we run and snap the fun moments over all your guests with you both whilst having the craic at the same time. After dinner is a soft spot for getting those lovely guest pictures also people also ask if you want one with your friends, your boss or just that special person you need a wedding photograph with.

Do you feed the photographer at a wedding?

Trust me, this is entirely up to you. Think of it as a full day, we are there by your side for most of the day ensuring everything goes super smooth. Whilst after speeches, we are most likely half dead by that rate and theres nothing more we love than a nice rest. Getting a wee hot meal, or bar voucher for us is more than thankful, its honestly the most kind hearted human-being thing to do. I get fed at every wedding and my couples are awesome! Just dont be that person.

Do i need a photographer? I can get someone to use their phone.

This honestly fries me when I see it pop up on wedding help pages. We are there to support you in all ways shape or form. We are experts in this field. Your friend with the newest Iphone model has a class camera on it? Sweet! It’s not a proper camera though with the capabilites that we have. We have dual slot cameras for double storage, if one fails (god forbid) we have a backup. Phones, dont have this feature.

Phones are excellent for those little moments like a family photo or with a guest, not for your wedding day. Phone pictures are a flatter jpeg resolution, blow it up and you’ll see how awful the quality is. We can’t edit this out if you wanted changes from a phone image without heavy photoshop maybe… With an unreal photographer with a proper camera, the possiblities are endless. Invest in a wedding photographer, not a phone photographer. The last thing we want is your future proof photographs to not be future proof after all.
